Nicholas Higgs is a seasoned strategist, economic advisor, and former public sector executive with a track record of delivering results across finance, business development, and institutional reform. As Founder and CEO of HM Consultancy Group, he leads with a clear mission to help businesses and institutions navigate complexity and unlock sustainable growth.

Nicholas previously served as the youngest Managing Director of The Bahamas Development Bank. During his tenure, he secured a $30 million financing facility from the African Export-Import Bank, launched the Bank’s first consultancy division, and established a brokerage partnership to increase access to capital. He also played a central role in securing the Bank’s first World Bank guarantee and implementing operational reforms to improve delivery and impact.

Through HM Consultancy Group, Nicholas has supported over $100 million in projects throughout The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean. His work includes capital raising, business plan development, investor materials, policy design, and financial restructuring. He takes a hands-on, outcome-focused approach to every engagement.

Nicholas served on the advisory board of Le Moyne College and was a board member of the CFA Society of The Bahamas. He was recognized internationally for his leadership and contributions to development finance.
